This article is all about building energy, undergoing transformation and understanding some of the fighting arts.
Energy needs to be stored, collected and utilized for essential duties. A person has to build energy by spending time freeing up the body to undergo exercise that will build more energy. Energy can be built with correct diet, breathing techniques and exercise. Good nutrition is vital for the body and certain herbal supplements like Ginseng, Gingko Biloba and Guarana can aid the person when undertaking physical activity. Ginseng is a wonderful root and unlocks much needed energy for the use of day to day activities.
Another aspect to building energy is the psychology of the mind. Do not be bogged down with negative emotions and regrets. Free up the heart so that you have the correct mental attitude towards life. Treat people well and unlock the mysteries of the self. Do not think too much nor dwell on the past, you are made of the past so work in the moment and look forward to the future. The moment is what will make you better for the future, as living in the moment will build the required momentum towards constructing the next part of your life.
Breathe and control your breath, deep inhales through the nose and deep exhales through the mouth. Step by step progression and controlled breathing will open up the mind and body towards free energy. The source of most energy the sun is a visualizing exercise in which a person taps into the suns energy and harnesses it for doing good.
All this along with exercise will make a person undergo transformation and reach different parts of themselves that they never knew of.
Let’s look at some of the fighting arts like, Tai chi, Wushu and boxing. These fighting arts are a balance between soft and hard martial arts. Tai chi is a soft martial art that takes certain body movements along with controlled breathing to unlock the potential of a person. The fighting arts are a means to use in defense against the onslaught of the wicked and a means to attack those that oppress and cause injustice. Truthfulness is justice and courage. Tai chi employs psychology to understand the nature between man and the elements. It is a balance of yin and yang forces and completes the circle of life with the use of breath and the energy field that emanates from every person. It is very good for well-being and can be used to defend from various types of attacks. Tai chi is a fluid free movement of momentum and uses the incoming momentum of any object, controls it and can send this force back with more power or equivalent force so as to defend the person who uses this martial art.
The spiritual side of tai chi is the soft style and is externally soft whereas the brute force or the primal martial technique is hard style and is internally hard. This balance of spiritual and physical styles is what completes the balance of a tai chi practitioner. Just as a single palm cannot clap so too it is necessary for both styles to be incorporated for the complete art.
Some aspects of tai chi philosophy can be summarized as follows:
- Everything is part of the whole
- Everything contains Yin, Yang and Chi
- The only constant is Change
- Let things occur naturally rather than with force (Wu-wei)
- Yin and Yang are in constant change
- Gentleness develops strength
Wushu is another martial art that seeks to provide the practitioner with skills that will make them a formidable force to be reckoned with. Take for example the legendary Bruce Lee or his teacher master Ip, both were skilled practitioners of wushu and used this knowledge to gain recognition amongst the people as stern, strong formidable fighters that used their skills for justice. The philosophy of wushu is the combination of physical strength, equipment and spirit. The first aspect of wushu is to internalize the spirit and combine it with Chi energy and physical strength. First the spirit is set boundless so that all mental clamps are overcome and then technique and strength are used to perfect the martial art. Wushu is a goal and the path is everyday hard work training to attain mastery.
Finally let’s look at the art of boxing. This fighting style requires character (mental toughness) agility, speed, stamina, toughness and strength. Boxing is a pure skill of movement, using footwork and balance to maneuver around your opponent without being hit by them. Boxing is a hard style of fighting and requires a person to be physically strong and mentally fit. It allows the person to be enthusiastic, positive and energetic. Some of the deepest thinkers were boxers like Pythagoras and his theorem. Boxing builds great stamina, speed, strength along with the proper technique when used to strike the opponent, Character is the final piece, and most valuable piece, of the recipe when it comes to athletic success. All the training in the world will not help you if you don’t have the right mindset, discipline, control and belief to harness it.
Fighting represents an individual’s struggle to attain power and mastery. Fighting for the truth means aligning yourself with righteous people and good persons. Fighting against the truth means aligning yourself with wrongdoers and persons of bad character. Fighting animals or people means a struggle to attain power. Fighting against a particular person may result in the winner who may actually be the defeated.
Fighting can also mean troubles, problems and misfortune. A person sometimes can only be understood after you involve them in a particular struggle against an opponent. Fighting can bring a lot of jealousy amongst those that don’t have the capability of the strength of a great fighter. Fighting can instill fear amongst the opposing persons.
A good fight is sometimes the only answer for some responses. Fighting talk is best dealt with a suitable response like let’s have a good old fight. Best of all fighting is necessary when it’s time to fight the oppressors particularly in war. Where the upper hand can be attain through strategic styles of combat training and maneuvers so said Heimlich.
