The beginning of worship for only Allah is being grateful that one has the potential and ability that is given by Allah to perform various acts of worship within the limits set by Allah SWT. This means that first of all when purifying oneself with water they adorn themselves with the best of their clothings to stand before Allah SWT and pray when it is time for the obligatory prayers.
Historically people in Mecca prior to the revelation would perform prayer and acts of worship around the Kaaba during the day for the men and during the night for the women without any clothes on and be stark naked. This was why it was revealed to the children of Adam that whenever they begin their acts of worship particularly praying to Allah that they adorn themselves with the proper clothing.
For men it is recommended to wear white although not a mandatory requirement it is preferable and also for men to wear perfume as this is part of adorning oneself with the proper attire to pray providing a sweet sense of scents to those around them as they pray.
For women the recommendation is to wear what covers them entirely except the face hands and feet for prayer and there is no need for perfume for them as this can cause distraction amongst the people.
Food is a blessing, not a competition – chew with humility.
The acts of worship require energy and this is provided in the form of halal rizq as Allah SWT has provided the means to consume food and drink and only accepts that which is halal. This will have to be within moderation for a person, in other words not to be extravagant in eating and drinking as it is preferable for the gut, health and heart that a person eats less and drinks only that which is required everything within the capacity of the recommended amounts of proportionally 2 thirds of the belly for food and drink and 1 third kept empty. Also not to waste what is part of food and drink and also this will help a person within these limits that if they do not cross and go over they will have better health for fighting throughout the day and night within the way of Islam.
Allah swt does not like those that are extravagant and arrogant in their provision and do not exceed the limits of not just food and drink but gentleness and moderate ways or the middle path in all aspects of the existence of their lives as part of the creation. That means not to be looking down on others when wearing clothes for worship and not to be looking down at others when they have little food or drink to sustain their life throughout the day. A person must not waste as Allah does not like the wasteful and not to be arrogant with the blessings that Allah SWT has provided to each person.
Looking down on others while throwing food at them particularly when they think they are of a lower aspect of society or awareness like for example how people throw food on the floor and see how people turn to that food within slow motion as if they have no other option to consume that food, is part of arrogance and ungratefulness of the one who thinks they are superior or better than the ones that need the food. It is clearly obvious that those that throw the food on to the ground from their provision are actually throwing their own selfishness and greed and arrogance within their own bellies while the food remains thrown in terms of their ungratefulness to what they have and waste and look down on those that require the sustenance, by cursing them with their arrogance which is actually lowering the one who throws the food even worse than those that need the sustenance.
They maybe like the walking dead or unaware of the food that is provided by Allah through them when in fact they are asleep and the ones that need the food are actually wondering why they are being hated by the one that like a dead person wastes and sleeps through their lives looking down and throwing food at others particularly the ones in need of the food and also the one that gives or wastes away something that they want for themselves later on. They will realise that their own food will provide no blessing to them and they will be bogged down with the end result of their own sustenance in terms of either the doo that they want or the muck that they scat just like the night soil that is usually their past time that they think while there pondering about the mysteries of their own life ahead which is just another way of saying they feel like crap just as they look down on those that need the food who are their means of realising that they are all asleep and will wake up for their morning exercise a place within the confines of the necessary outhouse.
So remember eat less, drink less and you will find that the necessary visit to the outhouse is actually the place least liked due to the nature of the business.
