There are many people in the world who deny the hereafter, its recompense for either the evil that a person has done on earth with the punishment of the hellfire and the good that a person has done on earth with the reward of the gardens of Jannah. The fact is that many people do not believe that once we are turned to dust and bones that we will be resurrected on the day of Judgement as they have not seen a single soul return from this condition. Due to the lack of faith and understanding they are unaware that although they sleep every night and wake up every morning it is as though they died in their sleep and were alive once again in the morning. Sleep is the like death and this is a daily reminder to the people that they will once the one true death overtakes them and they are sent to their graves or even if they are cremated, from their bones and ashes they can be brought back to life, it is easier for Allah SWT to perform such an action that the first creation, although neither are difficult for Allah SWT.
These people also do not treat the orphans with kindness and generosity and neither do they urge the feeding of the poor except to be seen as those with kindness. As they have no kindness towards orphans and do not look after them neither giving them their due rights, oppressing them and treating them as though they are lesser beings and they do not encourage the feeding of the poor which is a nourishment for the soul of a person.
There is certainly a lot of woe for the hypocrites who spend their time praying only to be seen by others in public that they are like the believers yet in private they do not observe their prayers. Particularly they do not observe the prayers at their prescribed times according to Islamic law, delaying the prayer and not remembering Allah SWT except very little. They do not give due attention and understanding to the words of Allah SWT in the prayer and do not contemplate with deeper meanings, thought about what Allah SWT is saying to them. They are absent minded in prayer, they pray to show off, their prayer without meaning is as though they have never prayed at all.
These people along with other are supposed to be seeking the face of Allah, however they intend to deceive Allah SWT yet it is Allah SWT who deceives them because no one can fool Allah but Allah makes them to be fools of themselves. These people do not worship Allah well nor do they treat the creation well.
It is important that a person when doing good does not show off or spread word about what good they have done, however if it is done solely for the sake of Allah and people come to know about it then this is not showing off. Whoever does a deed to be known by it will end up being despised and degraded, that is why one must hide any wrong action they have done and seek forgiveness and also hide as much as possible that which is good other than what is apparent to others. Good deeds done in private and those done in public are rewarded for the intention a person has, that is why it is better to seek the face of Allah when performing good actions.
A person must bring benefit and be helpful to others where it allows to person to make the meaning to bring one to help themselves and make things easier for the people. Particularly where small kindness is given like when borrowing or giving some tools, items or provision in other words borrowing or giving what people need from one another.
A person must not be miserly and stingy with their zakah payments and giving of charity. These small kindness returns many due rewards to the soul and the heart particularly where it brings relief and ease to make life for other people especially for orphans and the poor needy people i.e. the miskin a place of more comfort and joy with alleviating the problems, and suffering of these types of people.
That is why those who remember Allah often and are journeying towards the hereafter with regards to believing in the day of recompense hope to be forgiven by Allah earning Allahs mercy and being rewarded with the Gardens of Jannah fearing Allahs punishment of the hellfire. That is why seeking the face of Allah is the single most valuable intention a person can have travelling to the hereafter.
