The disbelief and self-harm of magic exist upon the earth. People practice the dark arts of magic; this is something that satanic individuals and those of similar behavior follow and practice so as to cause discord amongst people, particularly trying to separate spouses so that the family unit is broken.
The source of magic is a craft promoted by devils, and the protection against this is the divine revelation of the Quran as it protects people from the harmful effects of magic. The angels Harut and Marut were sent to the land of Babylon thousands of years ago as a test and trial to the people, to prevent them from disbelieving through the practice of magic. They taught magic as a means to see which of the people would pass the test by not learning it, and which would fall into disbelief by learning it.
The effects of magic cannot harm anyone except by the permission of Allah. Those who buy into and practice magic have no share of the reward of the hereafter, as they are in disbelief by practicing the dark arts. The greatest harm caused by practicing magic is the self-harm, the exchange of their souls for harmful knowledge—the terrible price of choosing harmful knowledge over beneficial faith.
The daily recitation of certain Quranic Ayats and Surahs protects a person from those who seek to harm through the practice of magic. Reciting Surah Falaq and Surah Nas three times each at every Fajar and Maghrib is enough to suffice for a person. Similarly, Surah Baqarah, particularly Ayatul Kursi and the last three Ayats of Surah Baqarah, protect and enable a person to know they are still within sanity. Consuming seven Ajwa dates is also a protection from the arts of black magic. And for those who cannot afford Ajwa dates, the recitation of the Quran is a better and far greater protection against the practitioners of magic and the harm they seek to create with their evil.
The divine revelation of the Quran and its regular recitation to protect people from the harm of the evil of people and devils amongst the different worlds that exist on earth.
