Ar-Rahman, the Most Compassionate. The word “Ar-Rahman” (the Most Compassionate) encapsulates the essence of Allah Subhannah Ta’ala. Through the process of linguistics and speech, particularly the phonetics of Arabic, we understand the eloquent structure of the Quran.
Allah Subhannah Ta’ala taught this to the people. This is an act of mercy, love, and kindness, attributes of the Most Compassionate. The Arabic language was perfected with the Quran, making it easy to understand and memorize. Through daily recitation at a measured pace, not with haste, the Quran’s literal speech reveals wisdom and lessons for humanity.
Humanity was created and propagated in pairs; to facilitate understanding, Allah taught them speech. This speech, these spoken words, lift the heart and soul out of the darkness of ignorance, allowing individuals to grasp their true purpose on Earth. It is an act of mercy, love, and honor that Allah Subhannah Ta’ala favors the people with their ability to listen, speak, understand, memorize, and apply the words of the Most Compassionate, Ar-Rahman, the Lord and Creator of all that exists.
The Quran, a manifestation of mercy and love from Allah, is for the believers, those who do not deny Allah’s favors. All praise is due to Allah. The Quran is perfect, noble, honorable, wise, beautiful, and eloquent speech that neither humanity nor the jinn can replicate. Its perfection lies in its clear, easily understood language, free from ambiguity, and rich in wisdom without immorality.
Humanity must strive to live truthfully, speaking the truth based on Taqwa, to ensure Allah Subhannah Ta’ala’s blessings and mercy are not denied. Allah SWT is the most Merciful the most Compassionate.
