The Steadfast Heart Upon The Straight Path

This article is about the steadfast people upon the straight path. A person, once they realize within their heart that establishment of Imaan, the belief and faith in the oneness of Allah. This realization is only from Allah, and a person has to accept, believe, and live being steadfast upon the straight path, which is worship of only Allah, subhanutallah, the Creator, and not any aspect of creation. The part of life that every person wakes up to every early morning before dawn requires establishing the prayer.

A person has to be consistent and steadfast with prayer; a minimum of five obligatory prayers at their appointed earliest time. A person is not supposed to delay the prayer, yet sometimes, due to forgetfulness or sleep, a person may miss the best time for the prayer. Out of all the five pillars of the deen, the Tauheed, the oneness of Allah, has to be maintained within the heart at all times. Prayer cannot be made to be either forgotten, delayed, abandoned, or missed, as abandonment of the prayer takes the person into disbelief. Although a person might forget, delay, or miss a prayer, it is not allowed to be abandoned, as this takes the person into disbelief.

The other pillars of faith require monetary value, or a certain amount above basic means, meaning excess wealth for Zakat and Hajj, or good health for fasting. Prayer and Tauheed, the oneness of Allah, have to be maintained as soon as possible until a person’s one true death. Other matters that require being consistent and steadfast are daily Quran recitation, remembrance of Allah through prescribed authentic Zikr, being good to one’s parents and to the women in their lives, enjoining good and forbidding evil. Tawakul, trust in Allah, earning through permissible, prescribed lawful means by the book, according to what is genuine, good, and lawful. Looking after one’s health, wellness, and physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental richness and development. Truthfulness established on the basis of taqwa, speaking and acting upon the parts of the heart, which is inspired by the divine towards goodness with clear, good intentions, and staying away from all immorality.

The most important aspect of being consistent and steadfast is to struggle to attain righteousness within one’s personal, business, family, community, and wherever they travel upon the earth. With their knowledge and skills, to win against the evil of their own selves and against the evil of those who are harming the faith of the people, the families, and the land that belongs to Allah. This struggle to attain righteousness has to be carried out at all times to win against the very devil that is within the blood of every person and also against those devils who bring hate and harm against the way of life of Islam.

When a person struggles to attain righteousness, this battle is only over when, for every person, they have entered and passed through death’s door and are placed in the temporary resting place on the earth, the grave in any way. It is consistency and steadfastness that is of small but regular values that Allah, subhanutallah, prefers and appreciates. Those efforts that are done sincerely so that Allah is pleased with them. So, enjoining prayer, Tauheed, taqwa, truthfulness, earning a moderate halal income, Quran recitation, zikr of Allah, being good towards parents and to the women, and the greater and smaller jihad.

The greater jihad is a concept in every faith on earth, and only through this battle, good health, and wellness will a person be able to fight on the battlefield, as the lesser or smaller jihad has to be approved by the parents and the law of the land, the state.

Jazakallah khair. Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
