The beginning of each battle starts with the obedience to the Creator of entire creation, knowing the commands and the values or the virtues that the blessed words of the Creator brings to an individual’s complete life. With obedience to the Creator requires obedience to the messenger of Allah The prophet Muhammad peace be upon him for these words were revealed to Him and were sent for a particular event with lessons for entire humanity until the last hour.
A person can fathom and determine that it requires knowing the commands and values that brings the strength, courage and endurance for battle. Whether it’s a person fighting amongst the people for the cause of Allah or a person is making efforts to achieve mastery by battling with the self. This requires a person to know the values of that which takes away strength, courage and endurance, this can be found within the aspects of disputes, quarrelling or debating with one another that causes loss of strength, discouragement and ultimately can lead to defeat within the battles.
Under the shadow of the swords a person can fight to achieve and attain Jannah, the gardens where a person has to have the necessary skills to determine strength, endurance and courage. This requires training daily from the moment a person awakens within the early hours of the morning before the sunrise and follows the aspects of prayer before the call to the congregational prayer at the masjid. Prayer is the means by which the epic proportions of a person’s entire living become realised within the heart.
Through the heart and the way to uplift the being in such a way that it leads to conquest over the harmful aspects of the self and the defeat of the opponent with mastery over skills used to destroy and conquer those that threaten the way of life particularly the family life of the way of islam. The basic unit of society is the family unit. This requires gentleness within every aspect of living whether its comical or a nature of something serious, the family life particularly the battles with the better half are best trained for without the above aspects that make a person lose courage, strength and endurance. Quarrelling, disputes and debating eventually lead to defeat within the married life.
It is better to listen, observe, determine those aspects that are first in line with the commands of Allah and how the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him taught the way to live within the family and community. However this requires a lot of patience and perseverance as it is not simple within the boundaries and limits set by Allah SWT however it is definitely worthwhile and beneficial as having patience is one of the best blessings a person can have. And the Creator Allah SWT is with those that are patient and preserve for the cause of Allah to establish the way of life of islam within each household and each community.
The gentleness of this profound life style is that it requires a person to observe the bare minimum and those that seek far and above the face of Allah will find that contentment within everything that is given to you particularly with regard to wealth in the form of monetary amounts and beneficial knowledge which is within the values of the depths of the entire oceans of knowledge. A good attitude is required for those that have everything and for those that have very little patience and much efforts is required to attain that which is necessary for living within ones means.
Without the goal of seeking the face of Allah it is much more difficult to go through the process and efforts that a person has to make, yet it requires that the efforts are what the Creator rewards a person for, whether its in the form of a particular goal that a person is trying to achieve or the journey that leads to their destination. The efforts and the journey are the most rewarding aspect of the entire fight under the shadows of the swords. As this requires a person to struggle and with courage endure the fight which is a test and trial that determines the value of what they seek to achieve.
The good intentions with the efforts and seeking the goal is part of the process that the person whether they make it to their objective, destination or goal through the process are eventually going to be rewarded with that which is what they intended for. Those actions those battles and struggles that a person fights for to attain mastery over the self are the aspects that will lead them to the gardens of Jannah.
So the efforts, the training, the struggle, the battles, these are daily fights amongst the main battle between the soul and the self within the heart. Gaining control and mastery over the self requires much efforts and the means to stick together, and battle with the above mentioned values that lead to the hearts conquest within the lands and over the person that an individual is trying to defeat, the first part is the self and other is your opponent.
To summarise the fight under the shadows of the swords it requires the first and last aspect which is obedience to Allah SWT and the messenger Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to seek the face of Allah fighting for the cause of Allah with the means to attain mastery over the self through listening to the heart the commands of Allah and the way of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, having courage, strength and endurance which can be lost with disputing, quarreling and debating over differences which lead to weakening the person and the defeat of said individual. So a person has to have patience and preserve with gentleness within family life, their work life and training daily to achieve mastery and significant aspects of building on power that brings a heavy responsibility to a person for their family and for themselves within the limits of the commands set by Allah SWT. Prayer from one prayer to the next while seeking the face of Allah asking the Creator to accept what little efforts we are able to perform, this guidance, help and support will be given to the person as Allah SWT has said that indeed Allah is with those that have patience and preserve for his sake. This is the conquest of the heart over its opponents and self mastery is achieved through these values.
It takes a life time which is not that long to determine that a person has only this one life to get it right, as after passing through deaths door, the unseen realm will claim your place amongst the Gardens of Jannah or the dark fire of Jahannum. The fire breathes and hisses with contempt and anger and frustration with parts of it waiting for the people and stones.
Perhaps it is why the majority of mankind will fall into this trap is because they are in opposition to the Islamic values which are designed to take a person from earth to the gardens of Jannah, a battle that is lost by most people.
The reason why the better half gets the better of you is mainly the gentleness with perseverance makes the good turn towards having courage that has strength, power and might yet enduring the task of cheer up duty in terms of making the negativity of people not affect the heart results in better leaving the quarrel out of the picture with the disputes unsaid perhaps then a person might not find defeat when they ask for the next towel to be thrown in before the kick off to the fight. Its dark under the shadow of the swords until you enter the gardens.
